Batterson Park Remodel - Farmington, CT
About The Project
This complete home remodel allowed us to uplevel the home’s timeless details with modern finishes fit for the next generation of ownership. The design is centered on a newly connected and open plan in the heart of the home, bringing the living, dining and kitchen spaces together. That feeling of light, bright and open continues throughout the space, accented with beautiful original details worth preserving.
Open and inviting is the theme of this refreshed kitchen complete with island seating and serving, a mix of open shelving and cabinets, and a view from the classic farmhouse sink.
A mix of textures creates depth in this white and bright kitchen design featuring quartz countertops, farm house sink, and a timeless subway tile backsplash. Warm, solid white oak floating shelves warm up the space, capped off with sleek new stainless steel appliances.
An open dining room is a happy dining room, with the added flexibility of a built-in serving area.
Continuing the open floorplan is the expanded opening between the kitchen and great room, creating a free-flow use of the heart of the home.
Brand new wide-plank oak flooring is the foundation of the entire design, and highlighted beautifully in the first floor hallway, accented with custom wood-paneled doors and original brass hardware that bring more traditional elements back into this modernized home.
A tired, old bathroom was completely refinished to meet modern esthetics, featuring a floating double vanity, and light tile choices, accented with the custom panel black doors.
This basement refresh turned a dark and lifeless space into an incredible bonus. Luxury vinyl flooring in a marble-like design made it perfect for young families in need of style and durability.
